It utilizes a biopolymer matrix that combines fructose and glucose in a 0.8:1 ratio, allowing for an intake of up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour. Unlike their drink mix, which relies on the acidity of the stomach to create a hydrogel, the Maurten Gel 100 already contains this unique technology, making it easily transportable to the intestine for efficient absorption of water, salt, and carbohydrates.
